Vandal Programs Pot Message into Roadside Sign

A Caltrans road work sign was vandalized Wednesday night in Roseville.

OUTSIDE SACRAMENTO, CA -- A roadside sign was given a new message Wednesday night, but not by construction workers or California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) employees.

Commuters traveling I-80 near Douglas Boulevard in Roseville Thursday morning were greeted with a sign that read "Smoke weed everyday," according to a photo posted posted on Twitter by Joe Pittman, a producer for KHTK 1140.

A Caltrans spokesman was unable to view the photo and comment on it specifically, but confirmed one of the agency's signs was vandalized overnight.

"During the night vandals stole the tires and broke into the message board and loaded the inappropriate message for view," Caltrans spokesman Dennis L. Keaton said in an email.

He said work crews removed the sign around 10:40 a.m., once they had been alerted to the prank.

Here's another thought. Privatized government, privatized utilities, all bought with laundered drug money at the expense of sanity for every human on this planet because the profit is used to buy guns and fuel wars. Now end the war on agriculture, aka, weed, stop the stupidity of war for profit, not allowed on planet earth, bare arms only to destroy dirty politicians, and PS, Obama is divinely chosen by heaven, so deal with it, and know, he will be the man to take this country out of debt the despots seem to hell bent on stressing us into.

I hope you are right. The enormous help on the economy, stop incarcerating not violent people and turning them into criminals when they aren't and freeing up space in prisons,so they can stop releasing violent criminals onto the street to make room for some 18yr.old kid caught smoking a joint. These idiots should be ashamed of themselves.

Marijuana prohibition was invented in the 20's in an effort to curb mexican immigrant feild workers from coming across the border and taking away jobs from americans during the great depression. It's drug classification by the government is a joke, yet the FDA approves drugs every day that do more damage to a human than smoking pot could ever do. Why? Because this country isn't about freedom, it's about the illusion of freedom it presents to it citizens. This government is, and has always been, about the rich and the "haves" doing whatever they have to do to get more. More for them and less for you. The government could care less about you! They are only interested in keeping themselves fat and happy and don't give a crap about the rest of the country's and world's population. This is why the country this country is in the toilet. Let big business and the rich keep making money while they use the rest of us to fund their illegal operations. It's an adbomination in the face of humanity and they get away with it! I'll be happy when I'm dead and exist in a place of true equality, justice, and peace for every soul that exists. That is the TRUE meaning of freedom! This message comes from a proud combat veteran too Meanwhile, let's all keep living our lives under this umbrella of false freedom and security. WAKE UP and realize that the quality of life we all live in is a freakin joke people. . .
