What Would You Ask the Elk Grove PD?

The Elk Grove Police Department will hold "Coffee With a Cop" Thursday.

Elk Grove residents will have a chance Thursday morning to ask local police officers anything that's on their minds.

The Elk Grove Police Department will hold "Coffee With a Cop" events this week, two-hour Q&A sessions between Problem-Oriented Policing officers and residents.

The department hopes it will strengthen its partnership with residents.

"It’s very important that our police officers develop strong relationships within the community,” a press release quoted Elk Grove Police Chief Robert Lehner as saying. “We believe that this type of open dialogue plays a critical role in establishing a true partnership between the community and the police department.”

The "Coffee With a Cop" meet-and-greets will be held from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Thursday at the Starbucks locations at 8868 Bond Road and 2300 Longport Court.

How will your department combat aggressive drivers in your city? Many of us take pride in our great driving records and obey all posted speed limits, however when doing so we encounter many aggressive drivers whom have no problem getting inches off your bumper, or cutting in front of you real close. All of this taking place why you have your family with you putting them in danger. Im concerned as im sure many are about this happening. It seems to be heavy in the area of franklin blvd, elk grove florin, bruceville rd and laguna blvd. in the early morning hours and afternoon evening hrs. Im sending out an SOS, HELP! One thing I can say about Seattle PD they enforce the traffic speed effectively, 45 means 45. Oregeon also. California used to, what happened ?
