City Seeks Input on 2013 Budget Priorities

Do you have ideas about how Elk Grove should be spending its money?

The City of Elk Grove is taking the Elk Grove budget on the road to gather input from the community about priorities for the 2013‐14 fiscal years pending plan and it wants community input.

Two town hall meetings are planned next week to provide residents an opportunity to talk with Representatives from the City of Elk Grove in order to learn more about the budget process and the city’s plans for the upcoming year.

The forums provide residents a unique opportunity to weigh in on the direction of the city. Following a short presentation on the city’s budget and service priorities, the floor will be open for Q&A. Each meeting will have the same format, agenda and information.

Town hall meetings are planned for 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6 at the Elk Grove Regional Park Pavilion (9950 Elk Grove‐Florin Road) and Thursday, March 7 at the Wackford Community Complex, Poppy Room (9014 Bruceville Road).

The City of Elk Grove currently has a $157million balanced budget that maintains a high level of service to the residents of Elk Grove and prioritizes code enforcement, economic development, job creation and business retention efforts.   • What services would you like to see expanded in the budget?
