Starting next week, Elk Grove residents will have a place to watch a free outdoor concert every week.
The "Hot Summer Nights" concert series will take place every Friday in August. The five free shows will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the outdoor ampitheater at , 3020 Renwick Ave.
The performance schedule is as follows:
- Aug. 3 - Harley White Jr. Orchestra, "Jazz and Swing Night"
- Aug. 10 - Superlicious, "80s Flashback Night"
- Aug. 17 - Chris Gardner Band, "Country Night"
- Aug. 24 - Safety Orange, "Beach Rock Night"
- Aug. 31 - Gary Mendoza, "Blues Night"
Blankets and lawn chairs are welcome, but not until 4 p.m. on the day of the concert. The only pets allowed are service animals.
