An Elk Grove school principal will be in attendance as President Barack Obama gives his State of the Union Address Tuesday night.
Freshman congressman Ami Bera, of Elk Grove, chose Foulks Ranch Elementary School principal Mary Beth Kropp to be his guest to the annual presidential address.
Kropp told News10 that Bera and his wife were active parents at her school, adding that "he was part of our PTO in a lot of leadership roles. We always kept in touch and education was always very important for him."
