Elk Grove Resident Gets Chief of Staff Job for County Supervisor

Celia Coronado gets top job at Phil Serna's office.

An Elk Grove resident has been appointed chief of staff for Sacramento County Supervisor Phil Serna, according to a press release.

Celia Coronado, who has worked in the board's office since 2005, was appointed last week, the press release states.

“Celia Coronado possesses the skills, experience, and commitment to public service to help me serve District 1 constituents,” the release quoted Serna as saying. “I am confident her integrity, work ethic, and established relationships will make her a tremendous asset to the county. I'm delighted that she's agreed to lead my team."

She replaces Panorea Avdis, and will now help develop the supervisor's legislative agenda, and represent him on boards and commissions.

Serna represents parts of south Sacramento, downtown, east Sacramento and Natomas. Elk Grove is represented on the board by District 5 Supervisor Don Nottoli.
