Gary Davis to Open Mayoral Campaign Office
The office for Davis' campaign for Elk Grove Mayor will be located on Laguna Boulevard.
Elk Grove City Council Member plans to open the first dedicated campaign office in the race for the city's directly elected mayor position, just as he did in the city council race two years ago.
His campaign headquarters will be located at 8234 Laguna Blvd., Suite 101, near the site of his 2010 office. Davis will hold a grand opening ceremony at 10 a.m. on Aug. 18.
"Enjoy good food, mingle with friends & community leaders, and then set off on our first precinct walk of the campaign!" Davis said in an email.

His office will be located near Leatherby's Family Creamery and Peet's Coffee, leading Davis to joke in the email: "Great coffee, ice cream, and exciting campaign work! What more could you want?"
The email also says Peter Fenolio will be Davis' campaign manager.

This November, Elk Grove voters will choose the city's mayor for the first time. Candidates who have pulled papers to run for election so far include , Davis, , LaWanna Montgomery, Sophia Scherman, Charles S. Shanks and Lynn Wheat.
