Gov. Brown to Visit Elk Grove for Clean Energy Announcement
The event is set for Friday at a solar farm on Eschinger Road.
Gov. Jerry Brown and U.S. Interior Secretary Ken Salazar will stop by an Elk Grove solar panel farm Friday morning to announce a partnership between the state and federal governments aimed at creating clean energy jobs, the Governor's office said Tuesday.
The press conference will take place at the site of that will produce about 15 megawatts of power for the Sacramento Municipal Utilities District under a 20-year contract.
Google is also an investor in the farm and several others Recurrent is building in the Sacramento area, The Los Angeles Times reported recently.
