Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Closures

The country celebrates Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday Monday. Whether you're marching, doing community service or just enjoying a day off, you may want to know that the following public agencies will close in honor of the federal holiday.

City of Elk Grove:  City Hall will be closed all day Monday. Residents with urgent Public Works issues can call 916-687-3005.

Cosumnes Community Services District Parks and Recreation: Main office and Laguna Town Hall will both be closed Monday.

Cosumnes Fire Department: Offices will be closed Monday. Call 911 in case of emergency.

Elk Grove Library and Franklin Community Library:  These libraries and all other Sacramento Public Library branches will be closed Monday.

Elk Grove Police Department:  Offices will be closed Monday, but residents with non-emergency police needs can still call the department's main phone line, 916-714-5115, which is answered 24 hours a day.

Elk Grove Unified School District: District offices and all schools will be closed Monday.

e-tran: There will be no e-tran service on Monday.

United States Postal Service: All offices will be closed all day Monday.
