Rep. Ami Bera to Hold Live Chat on Patch: What Will You Ask Him?

Amid news of IRS scrutiny of conservative groups and newly revealed government surveillance programs, there's no shortage of hot topics in Congress.

And here's your chance to ask about them for yourself: Rep. Ami Bera (D-Elk Grove) will chat live with Patch readers for half an hour at noon on Tuesday, June 25.

Bera will answer readers' questions from his office in Washington, D.C. The live chat will be available on this site, and readers will be able to pose their own questions to the newly elected member of Congress.

Bera, who ran largely on a platform promoting bipartisan cooperation, will kick the discussion off by answering questions about what he hopes to do to get past Congressional gridlock and put the federal government to work for the citizens of Sacramento County.

The live chat will be moderated by a Patch editor, and in the days before the event, we'll be asking what you'd like Bera to talk about. So, tell us in the comments section below: What would you like to ask Rep. Ami Bera?
