Several seats are up for grabs: Elk Grove will elect a mayor for the first time, and four candidates have said they'll run for the two-year position. Also up for election will be two seats on the Elk Grove City Council, three seats on the Cosumnes Community Services District Board of Directors, and four positions on the Elk Grove Unified School District Board of Directors.
The election is scheduled to take place Nov. 6.
