Kids love to make pizza! This fun-filled program is packed with activities. We make whole wheat pizza dough from scratch—watching the yeast foam, stirring and kneading the dough. For food safety reasons and time constraints, we won’t use the dough we make in class. Instead, we send kids home with the dough recipe and make a special pizza recipe piled high with veggies to eat in class. While we’re eating we read The Little Red Hen (Makes a Pizza).

Rebuilding Together Sacramento offers many programs such as Safe at Home at no cost to low-income homeowners who live in Sacramento or Yolo counties. Safe at Home provides minor repairs and modifications that improve accessibility and safety within the home. The work is performed year-round by trained volunteers. Primary recipients of Safe at Home are Senior citizens, people with disabilities, and families with children. We require an application and proof of income to receive our services. Services are available for a fee for those who do not meet our income guidelines. Find out if you qualify.
