Bill Clinton to Endorse Bera Tuesday at UC Davis

Clinton will endorse candidates John Garamendi, Ami Bera, Jerry McNerney and Jose Hernandez during his speech Tuesday.

Bill Clinton will speak on the UC Davis quad Tuesday morning.

UC Davis is asking that people attend the event on foot, bike or public transportation. Unitrans and Yolobus information can be found here: http://unitrans.ucdavis.edu/.

For those who drive, parking ($7) is likely to be available at the facilities below. Here’s a map of the campus, and directions

There will be increased security at the event as well.

“We're going to have an expanded police presence to help with cross management,” said UC Davis Police Sgt. Dan Malloy. “Secret Service will be doing all the heavy lifting.”

Former Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul spoke on the quad a few months ago. Here are some photos and notes from the event.

Bill Clinton is the best political star power either party will see in California during this election, so good for the Demos. I don't think CD3 is in play, but his endorsement can't hurt.

Why not down to Grantline and then head back north along the freeway? Plus Kammerer will eventuallyRead More be widened all the way to I-5 and commuters can use that too. Take Grantline to Kammerer to Bruceville.

An overpass and off/on ramps will be built at Whitelock Parkway after the mall is built, whichRead More should take place after the soccer stadium is built, which should take place after the city secures a professional soccer team. Elk Grove better make sure the professional soccer team is a women's team, or else LaWanna Montgomery will be mad.

Thanks for the suggestion. The City is currently studying a new interchange off 99 and Whitelock,Read More and the project is in our General Plan. We’re also updating the Elk Grove Blvd. onramp—currently one of the most outdated on 99 in the region. Work will begin this summer.
