The Secret Garden is offering FREE Gardening Classes in conjunction with their 10th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday June 16th.

At 10:00am meet Sean Bigley, owner of Mad Man Bamboo Nursery. Sean is Sacramento's resident expert on all things to do with bamboo. Learn which types do well in the Sacramento region, the differences between clumping versus non-clumping and how to best care for you plants.

At 11:00am Elizabeth Kerhulas will share her knowledge on succulent care and propagation. Elizabeth has enjoyed growing succulents since she was very young and will be sharing her techniques for creating living vertical wall hangings with succulents.

At 12noon Judy Eitzen, Master Gardener, will speak on water gardening. Judy will focus on how to create a simple water garden using containers, as well as addressing the different types of water plants and what to use where.

Thanks for the suggestion. The City is currently studying a new interchange off 99 and Whitelock,Read More and the project is in our General Plan. We’re also updating the Elk Grove Blvd. onramp—currently one of the most outdated on 99 in the region. Work will begin this summer.
