Where: It will take place at:

Luther Burbank High School at 3500 Florin Road Sacramento CA 95832

It will be held in front of the school in the main parking lot.

Why: We are taking on this project to provide healthy local and organic produce for our community. The overarching intention of the produce stand is to bring healthier foods into our school community and the broader South Sacramento area. South Sacramento has a wide range of fast food restaurants and places to buy many processed foods, and our produce stand would offer a new and healthier option that includes locally grownorganic produce.  Our goal in starting this enterprise is to create mutually beneficial relationships between organic farmers in Sacramento, the LBHS students and community members, all built on a respect and desire to provide and eat healthy food. The farm stand will provide a space for students to learn about business and entrepreneurial skills, while simultaneously providing something the community will undoubtedly gain from.
