A Christmas Carol is a novella by English author Charles Dickens, first published by Chapman & Hall on 19 December 1843. The story tells of bitter and miserly Ebenezer Scrooge's ideological, ethical, and emotional transformation resulting from supernatural visits from Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come. The novella met with instant success and critical acclaim.

This annual production seen many times around the holiday time will be a special production you will not want to miss.  The set and staging will be of a new method where actors will remain on stage throughout the show.  While the story remains much the same, the characters tell the story, but the artistry of Director Caitlin Knapp will allow audiences to see a form of staging that is very unique in theatre; and, some narration by Charles Dickens (an actor) throughout the play.

Caitlin Knapp is an alumnus of Franklin Theatre Company and a graduate of The University of the Pacific.  This is her second year at Franklin High School.  She has directed plays at Franklin and is currently teaching and directing one of two Children’s Honors Advanced theatre classes this school year.
