Elk Grovians are getting their costumes together for the seventh annual ',' a combination food expo and masquerade held to fund scholarships for local students.
Thursday night's event at the benefits the Elk Grove Community Foundation, a non-profit that awarded 175 grants to kids in the this year. (Check out this article about the Foundation in The Sacramento Bee, and our piece on .)
The theme is 'That's Entertainment,' which event chair Marie Coleman said encompasses both theater and film from days gone by.
"It's Hollywood or Broadway, and it's your choice of who you want to be," said Coleman. "We give out Oscars for the best costumes."
Over 40 food and wine vendors will offer tastings. There'll also be music from the DeWald Taylor Jazztet, a silent auction and a quilt raffle.
The event runs from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets are available for $40 on the foundation's website and at local businesses, including , , , and .
