Rowlett Running for School Board this Fall

The Area 7 trustee will try to win election to the Elk Grove Unified School District Board of Education this November.

Elk Grove Unified School District Trustee Al Rowlett this fall will try to win election to the school board for the first time–even though he's sat on the board for three years.

Rowlett was appointed to the school board in 2009 after longtime Trustee Brian Myers retired, according to the Elk Grove Citizen.

He recently pulled papers to run for election in the Elk Grove Unified School District's Area 7, according to the Sacramento County Elections Office.

He is currently the only candidate running in that area. are running in Areas 1 and 6, respectively. Rambo is also a current member of the school board who was appointed.
