The district has 12 schools on year-round schedules.

By Elk Grove Unified School District

On July 18 EGUSD teachers and staff welcomed about 8,300 students to a great new year!  Students and staff greeted each other with smiling faces as students and parents filed into the district’s 12 schools on year-round schedules.

Schools on a year-round schedule for the 2013-2014 school year include: Edna Batey, Arthur C. Butler, Carroll, Elitha Donner, Foulks Ranch, Arlene Hein, Isabelle Jackson, Prairie, David Reese, Joseph Sims, Stone Lake and Irene B. West. Elementary school students and staff on A track at year-round schedule schools will return to school on August 12.

Elementary school students and staff on modified traditional schedules will head back to school on August 15. On August 15, all schools on a traditional schedule – which includes elementary schools, as well as all middle, high and alternative schools – will start their school year. Click here to view the 2013-2014 school year calendar.

As a reminder, incoming 7th grade students will need to provide schools with proof that they have received an adolescent pertussis (whooping cough) booster shot (Tdap) prior to starting school. Students will not be able to attend school in 2013-2014 until they show proof of the booster shot. Click here for more information or contact your child’s school.
