It took two tries, but won the Division I baseball title for the first time in school history Friday.
Franklin on Tuesday won the first matchup in the best-of-three series against Davis, but Davis took game two Friday afternoon to force a third game.
The Sacramento Bee reported that Franklin pulled ahead in the final game and won the Division I North section title with a final score of 3-2.
"I'm so happy for these kids and these coaches," Wildcats coach Bryan Kilby told the Bee. "We played two great games here today."
Franklin will face St. Mary's of Stockton on June 1 in another best-of-three series at the University of the Pacific, according to the Bee.
