's Rowdy Tellez and 's Alexis Cooper have been picked by the Sacramento Bee as baseball and softball players of the year.
"Cooper and Tellez compete with an edge and express it freely," the Bee wrote. "They walk with a swagger, have an air of confidence and have an unquenchable thirst to succeed."
Cooper helped the Huskies to a , while Tellez was named MVP of his league.
The coaches of both players praised their work ethic in interviews with the Bee.
