With a victory over Del Oro in the books, Elk Grove High will take on Folsom in the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Championships Saturday.
The Division II championship game will be played at on Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m. at Sacramento State.
In last year's semifinals, Folsom eliminated Elk Grove 42-28. Some see this game as a chance for Elk Grove to strike back.
"Awesome game Herd!," said Gary Pucci on the Thunder Herd Facebook page after the victory against Del Oro. "Folsom, then a BOWL GAME! Let's avenge the loss from last year! GO HERD!"
