What Do You Think of Kings Arena Deal?

Sacramento has reached a tentative deal with the Kings to keep the NBA team in town.

A tentative deal for a has been reached that will allow the Kings to remain in Sacramento, The Sacramento Bee is reporting.

"Deal has been struck between City and Maloofs. HUGE hurdle leapt. Be cautiously happy people," Sacramento-area sports radio personality "Carmichael Dave" Weiglein wrote today on Twitter.

The Maloof family, which owns the Kings, will contribute $75 million up front to the project, the Bee reports. Much of the rest of the funds would come from leasing city-owned parking spaces to a private company. The Sacramento City Council will likely vote on the package March 6.

If a deal for a new downtown arena had not been reached, the Kings would have moved, probably to Anaheim or Seattle, .

Now, thanks in part to Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson, that will likely not happen.
