Elk Grove to Hold Food Drive...For Pets
Animals are suffering from the recession, too, say food bank staff.
Times are tough these days, even for pets. According to Elk Grove Food Bank Services, many low-income pet owners are struggling to fill the food bowl.
On Saturday, the food bank along with the City of Elk Grove's "Think Shop Live Elk Grove" program will sponsor a pet food drive
From noon to 5 p.m., you can bring donations of dog or cat food to Pet Smart at 8215 Laguna Blvd. Get a free two-year altered pet license with any 20 lb donation.
