Diaper Drive Scheduled for Sept. 15
The event will benefit Elk Grove nonprofit Chicks in Crisis.
Needy moms will get some help with providing diapers thanks to a donation drive scheduled for next week.
The group "Think, Shop Live Elk Grove" will hold a diaper drive from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 15, in front of the buybuy Baby at 7507 Laguna Blvd.
The diapers will go to local nonprofit .

"Providing a simple package of diapers can make a difference in a child’s life," a flier quotes Chicks in Crisis Executive Director Inez Whitlow as saying. "The Elk Grove babies we serve need way more diapers than we can currently supply."
Diapers of any size will be accepted, and diapers will also be available for purchase and donation. The event will also feature child fingerprinting and free face painting.

The event will also feature a giveaway–the person or group who donates the most diapers will receive tickets to see Carrie Underwood on Oct. 13 at Power Balance Pavilion.
"Think, Shop, Live Elk Grove" is a collaboration between the city of Elk Grove, the , and businesses like the Elk Grove Citizen and Frontier Communications.
