Giovanni Toccagino is the proud owner of Palermo Ristorante Italiano, Authentic Italian Cuisine. Giovanni  was located in Palo Alto for 14 years before relocating to Elk Grove. This restaurant is family owned and operated and the menu is from the Toccagino family's own recipes.

The menu is southern Italian, sporting a variety of fish, shellfish and pasta dishes. Appetizers range from mozzarella, artichokes and eggplants to baked clams. The rotisserie roasts chicken, duck and lamb chops. The desserts and beverages include tiramisu, Sicilian cannoli, cream caramel, tartufo, espresso, cappuccino, latte, soda and iced tea.

The restaurant also features Martini Mondays and Cheese Pizza Wednesdays.
