Savemart Supermarkets

<p>Savemart Supermarket opened its first store in Modesto, California in 1952. Savemart serves as a one-stop shop for pre-packaged meats, yard and garden supplies, plants, fresh-cut flowers and gift items. Savemart is credited as having been the first in the grocery industry to provide check cashing.</p> <p>Other store conveniences include a copy machine, a carpet cleaning rental service, motorized shopping carts, a consumer information center and a consumer toll-free line at 800-692-5710. The store also sells postage stamps, money orders and lotto and lottery gift cards.</p> <p>Seafood, a full-service bakery and deli, a propane BBQ tank exchange and a pharmacy are also available.</p>
