"the above" Could you be more specific? It would be interesting to know since I've…Read More written exactly one column on growth. What, does it even cover my tribute to Ryan Boyd? Does it cover my gun control proposal? Does it cover my proposal for addressing the government pension problem? Does it even cover my column in which I wished for the preservation of your way of life? Seriously, M., come up with some logical way to attack me instead of seeing everything I write as wrong. I can't wait until you start picking on my punctuation. There have been times when we even agreed.
I could just as easily state that your comments here sum up everything you've said in the last two years and support unplanned, unchecked growth ... but it would be wrong, so I won't say it. I'm curious, if you don't believe there's unchecked growth, feel free to explain what happened in Elk Grove in the last 15-25 years. Feel free to explain what you believe reasonable checks or controls on growth would be, or which were in place.

There is no such thing as unchecked growth, Mark, and no one is suggesting there should be.
You…Read More realize, of course, that the above summed up two years of your columns in one paragraph. I could have saved you a lot of time.
Perhaps you would be more comfortable and find at least a modicum of respect on another forum where the topics are as tired as your comments, and the participants are admired for low brow snark. You seem to be having some social and credibility problems on this one.

Yes, and unplanned, unchecked growth will eventually take away your beloved ranch. Odd how you…Read More don't see the connection. Or are you convinced that growth will only destroy that way of life for others, but you'll be OK.

Wow.... What does casinos have anything to do with donating food or not? Either you wanna give or…Read More you don't!!! But don't JUDGE everyone who asks for help!!! One day you may be in the same situation!!!! There're many families in need who used to make 6 figure incomes!!! HELP OR DON'T HELP.... BUT DON'T BE RUDE AND INSULT THEM!!!!!!!!!!

Would not mind donating pet food if I could trust that the families in need aren't…Read More "pissing" money away in local casinos instead of putting food on the table!

Truly, the participants should boycott the race over this asinine backpack ban. I'm not a runner,…Read More but I would do so if I had previously had plans to attend this event.
But I already boycott doing any business in SF over the unconstitutional red light cameras and the OUTRAGEOUS fines that they have imposed for these pernicious, non-human devices so I guess this is just another reason to not visit SF.

I don't care if he is only doing it for the publicity as long as he is doing good deeds. He is…Read More finally doing what the public wants- taking a hit right along with us. Plus if it helps shame those politicians making 100k+ a year to donate more to local causes then I'm all for it.

I run a local Hand Ball league and am starting youth league through the South Gate Parks and…Read More Recreation District. I hope this can help. Other resources Sacramento Area Hand Ball Association (SHAA), United States Hand Ball Association (USHA), World Players Of Hand Ball (WPH). Or call the park district directly. I can be reached on my Face Book John Almaraz. I believe Hand Ball can help in all areas, Bulling, Weight loss and confidence.

Paying a person to 'buy' their time to come to your home, or ?? to care for your most beloved…Read More valuable in Life, is all a matter left to the Parent. Sure, you can review the guidelines set by some averages, areas, and calculations, but,,, bottom line is, it is what is within your budget and the agreement you have between you and your provider. If you want a credentialed nurse, teacher or professional, to come in, you will be paying more than you will be by hiring a high school student. I am a Caregiver/Nanny, my rates depend on the situation. I am a Mother/Grandmother, CPR/FirstAid certified and have a mile long list of experience and references. Personally, I will not work on a basis of a flat fee and variable hours. My time is charged by the time I spend, my duties, etc. Each party should communicate and agree on all aspects of responsibilities and payment. Taking care of someone's child is the most important job I have ever had. The Responsibility of it is Immense! If you are looking for someone to care for your Baby, whether 3 months, or 12 years old, please be sure that their PRIORITY is that Child, and NOT anything else! Check references and background, and when you are happy with that individual's care, please show them you are. They are there because they need the money. A few dollars shows your Caregiver that you Appreciate them, and if you can not spare that extra couple of bucks, you may want to rethink leaving your loved one with anyone at all...

In addition to being a mother of three, I'm a formerly credentialed elementary school teacher,…Read More trained Girl Scout Leader, Sunday school teacher and respite care giver for those with special needs. To pay me the $10.50 an hour this calculator suggests for my area would be a slap in the face to me. I don't just sit around and watch children (of any age) watch TV or play computer games. I play and work with children, thus leaving them better off for having spent time with me. I'm currenly watching a ten-year-old two weeks a month, and am currently teaching her how to sew and bake homemade bread. The $12.00 an hour I charge is well worth it for the time I put in. I strongly feel that the amount paid for any child care job should be calculated based on the providers' training, experience, and how they spend their time with children.

CDs are good to use for clay pigeon substitutes.
The bra recyclers? Sounds like a scam, especially…Read More if they're doing business with African companies who simply resell rather than donate, regardless of their claims. All scams. Recycle your bra at Goodwill and take a tax deduction.
