An Elk Grove teen was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after being stabbed in the stomach and chest Thursday afternoon.
Elk Grove police are searching for a suspect in a stabbing that took place near the intersection of Whitelock Parkway and Bellaterra Drive Thursday afternoon. Police responding to a call around 4:00 p.m. found a boy between the ages of 16 and 18 with stab wounds to the stomach and chest. The boy, a student at the nearby Elk Grove Charter School, is being treated at a local hospital for wounds that doctors told detectives were "superficial" and non-life-threatening, according to Elk Grove Police Department spokesperson Chris Trim. Trim said the victim was fighting with his attacker just before the stabbing, according to witnesses. No one is hurt, News10 reports.
A car crashed into the 76 gas station at 2323 Laguna Blvd Monday afternoon, News10 reported. The TV station said no one was hurt in the accident, which took place around 4:45 p.m. See photos on the News10 website. The driver of the car said he accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake, News10 reported.

Police say Joseph Oropesa was shot by a local drug dealer after buying Oxycontin from him, according to court documents obtained by the Sacramento Bee.
Police say Elk Grove teen Joseph Oropesa was killed after a drug dealer he bought prescription pain killers from decided to carjack him, The Sacramento Bee is reporting today. According to court documents obtained by the Bee, a friend of Oropesa's told Elk Grove police that he went with Oropesa to the Dimple Records parking lot on Elk Grove Florin Road Sunday night to buy Oxycontin, which Oropesa planned to sell to earn some extra cash. There, police wrote in an arrest warrant request, the two met 25-year-old Ryan Allan Hays of Sacramento, who police have since arrested in Oropesa's killing. Elk Grove police found and arrested Wednesday night the man they believe is responsible for the Sunday shooting death of 19-year-old Joseph Oropesa in the Dimple Records parking lot. Ryan Hays, 25, was located at a house in rural Stanislaus County and booked into Sacramento County jail on charges of murder, robbery and carjacking, police said. Sacramento County sheriff's deputies arrested an Elk Grove Unified School District employee Monday on suspicion of having an illegal sexual relationship with a 17-year-old female student. Sean Darnell Davis, 42, worked as a campus supervisor at Valley High School in Sacramento from 2008 until the district placed him on paid administrative leave Monday, district spokesperson Elizabeth Graswich said. A sheriff's department press release accuses Davis of performing "multiple unlawful sex acts" with the unnamed student between August 2011 and February 2012. Police are searching for 25-year-old Ryan Alan Hays of Sacramento, who they believe is still driving a black 1992 Ford Explorer belonging to murder victim Joseph Oropesa. Oropesa, 19, was shot in the head around 9:30 p.m. Sunday and died later that night at a local hospital. Police say witness interviews and tips led them to identify Hays as the shooter. Police are searching for a man who shot another man in the head in the Dimple Records parking lot.
Update: The Sacramento County Coroner's Office has identified the victim in Sunday night's shooting as 19-year-old Joseph Oropesa. An autopsy has not yet been performed on the victim. A man was fatally shot in the head on Sunday night. The shooting occurred in the Dimple Records parking lot at the 9600 block of Elk Grove Florin Road. The Elk Grove Police Department responded to a call at 9:25 p.m. after receiving a call saying someone was down in the parking lot and gunshots were heard.
