I'm a father of three, happily married, and resident of Elk Grove since 2005. I enjoy teaching 5th and 6th grade students and am passionate about integrating civics, writing, and filmmaking throughout the curricula. In 2011 I was honored to receive the American Civic Education Teacher Award from the National Education Association, the Center on Congress at Indiana University, and the Center for Civic Education. In 2012 I was honored to receive the Allan Hinderestein Award from the Sacramento Educational Cable Consortium and Comcast Cable for my film work with students.
