Kristine Guerra, Neighbor

Kristine Guerra graduated with a bachelor's degree in journalism at California State University, Sacramento. She has worked as both writer and editor for The State Hornet, a student-run newspaper at Sacramento State. She has also written for The Orange County Register, a major daily in Santa Ana, Calif., as well as for The Auburn Journal and The Roseville Press-Tribune.

She came from a small town in the Philippines where the English language is almost nonexistent. After flunking accounting school in the Philippines, she decided to move to America and try her hand at journalism.
