Lisa Palmer, Neighbor

I'm an eternally optimistic twenty-something year-old, engaged to a wonderful man and owned by a goofy golden. I like hanging out with my man and my dog, finding new and exciting things to do in Sacramento, cooking tasty food, and watching my fiancé's band practice in the garage. Oh, and books are super awesome. 

I've had a passion for writing since I was a kid when I would write short stories on my mom's word processor. Since then, I've taken several creative writing classes at Sacramento City College and UC Davis. I recently graduated from UC Davis with a B.A. in English and a minor in writing. During my last quarter at college, I was able to dig deep into the world of journalism with an editorial internship at the Sacramento Press. My love of connecting to the community and writing stories that mattered has led me to working with Patch.
