I came to Sacramento for high school, graduating from John F. Kennedy HS in South Saramneto in 2005. 
I graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a BA in Philosophy in 2010. While there I discovered journalism when I decided to take photos for The Bottom Line Newspaper on campus. I shot events, sports and breaking news for the website and for the printed paper.  When I moved back to the area to be around friends I continued with journalism as an editorial intern with The Sacramento Press.  I joined Carmichael Patch in April 2011.
