Solicitors No Longer Allowed After 7 p.m. (6 p.m. in the Winter)

Elk Grove now limits the hours door-to-door salespeople can operate.

Door-to-door salespeople now have to pack up and go home at 7 p.m. in Elk Grove.

New rules adopted by the city last week mean the solicitors–not including Girl Scouts, political campaigners or some fundraisers–can face fines or jail time for knocking too late.

The cutoff is 6 p.m. in the winter.
